IFWTWA Launches New Excellence Award Categories
The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's prestigious award now recognizes the best of the best in seven industry segments around the world.
Diamond Bar, CA, September 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association's (IFWTWA) Excellence Awards program recognizes the world's finest travel and tourism industry professionals as experienced by the organization's journalist members. The organization is thrilled to announce the launch of two new award categories: Cruise and Spa.
IFWTWA's existing Excellence Award categories of Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Wine and Other Beverage, Destination Marketing, and Tourism recognize significant professional achievements worldwide in each of those categories.
According to Maralyn Hill, President of IFWTWA: “Cruising and Spas are huge travel industry segments that we could not ignore. We are very happy to recognize deserving professionals and operators in those fields as well. The addition of these two award categories rounds out our ability to publicly acknowledge excellence across a broader industry spectrum.”
When IFWTWA regular or student members experience excellence in any of the award categories, now including Cruise and Spa, they are encouraged to submit a formal award nomination. If the nominee meets IFWTWA's award criteria (specific to each award category), the Excellence Awards Committee evaluates the nomination and determines whether the award should be granted. Awards are in the form of an Excellence Award Certificate and a letter of congratulations from IFWTWA.
About IFWTWA: The International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA) is a global network of journalists who cover the hospitality and lifestyle fields, and the people who promote them.
