Moms in Business Unite Announces Revised Format for Boston Conference/Joins with Mass Innovation Nights to Present Content-Rich Entrepreneurship and Innovation Event
Moms in Business Unite has revamped its October 12 Boston conference to add greater value in a more compact and affordable format. Presented in concert with Mass Innovation Nights at Cummings Center in Beverly, the afternoon event will kick off Boston Region Entrepreneurship Weeks.
Boston, MA, September 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Moms in Business Unite, offering a unique educational conference and ongoing resources to enhance the professional and personal lives of women and mom business owners, announced today that it has revamped its October 12 Boston conference to add greater value in a more compact and affordable format. The entrepreneurship and innovation event, at Cummings Center in Beverly from 1-5 p.m., is presented in concert with Mass Innovation Nights, will kick off Boston Region Entrepreneurship Weeks (BREW), a series of events showcasing the incredible entrepreneurial spirit in and around Boston.
“In rethinking how to best provide education for Boston entrepreneurs and make the conference even more interactive, we realized the way to go was partnering with an established local organization, condensing the event, and lowering the price,” said Randa Cote, MIBU President. “We’re so excited to provide actionable steps to entrepreneurs from personal branding, marketing and business idea evaluation experts, as well as a great opportunity to network and get inspired.”
Maria Bailey, CEO of BSM Media and an award-winning author, radio talk show host and nationally known speaker, will present the keynote address. She’ll also focus on branding as one of six subject matter experts who’ll participate in a panel discussion and breakout circles. Other experts are Bobbie Carlton and Christine Sierra of Carlton PR & Marketing (PR/marketing), Anita Brearton of Golden Seeds (financing), Bettina Hein of Pixability (video), and Judith Hurwitz of Hurwitz & Associates (technology).
The Inventor Showcase will feature five local entrepreneurs who’ll be competing for the Best New Product or Service award, which will be determined by attendee votes and announced at the end of the day. It’s anticipated that many attendees will then head over to Trade Center 128 in Woburn for the 31st Mass Innovation Nights, a monthly event designed to help local innovators increase the buzz around new products and companies.
