North Texas Food Bank Benefits from Texas Trust Credit Union's BeWell Health and Wellness Campaign
Texas Trust Credit Union employees hold food drive, collecting 480 pounds of food, for the North Texas Food Bank.
Dallas, TX, September 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- As part of Texas Trust Credit Union's new BeWell health and wellness campaign employees collected more than 480 pounds of food for the North Texas Food Bank.
The Texas Trust BeWell campaign included a Strive to Eat 5 challenge, which encouraged employees to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables each day throughout the month of August. Employees earned points for each serving they ate, which are redeemable for gift cards and merchandise.
To encourage others to also eat healthy, employees organized a canned food drive to help support those who rely on area food banks for their meals. Texas Trust's collection of canned fruits and vegetables will serve up to 374 meals.
"Our employees are compassionate about supporting the local communities in which we serve," said Jim Minge, President and CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union. "I am proud of how our employees are using our health and wellness program to improve the lives of others."
