DirectRooms.com – The 2011 G20 Summit to be Held in Cannes This November
DirectRooms.com reports that Cannes is preparing to host leaders from the world’s 20 most influential countries as the G20 Summit comes to the city in November.
Cannes, France, September 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The 2011 summit will be the sixth time the 20 heads of government have met and they’ll be looking to tackle crucial issues related to the financial markets while attempting to improve stability in the world economy.
Each year one of the member countries has to organise the summits and this year it is the turn of France to host the event. As host, France are entitled to nominate special themes to be addressed at the meeting and this year there will be a meeting of labour and employment ministers as well as a dedicated meeting for agriculture ministers.
The goals of last year’s summit were to ensure there was a worldwide economic recovery and to establish a framework for achieving balanced global growth. This year’s event will review whether these goals have been achieved and French president Nicolas Sarkozy has already set his targets which include a reformation of the International Monetary System.
The final agenda hasn’t been completed but each G-20 leader is expected to set their own issues which will be reviewed when the summit runs from 3rd to 4th November 2011.
