Appropriate Balance Financial Services Announces Expansion Plans
Bellevue-based Appropriate Balance has recently added four key employees, not only to help expand services to current clients, but to help facilitate the growth the firm expects in coming years.
Bellevue, WA, September 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Appropriate Balance Financial Services, Inc. (ABFS) has recently announced the addition of several new members of the ABFS Team as part of a longer term growth and development plan.
According to Bruce Yates, president of ABFS, “We are very excited to have found people of such high caliber. They bring new depth and expertise to the firm and will do an outstanding job of serving our clients and driving our business forward.”
Mark Jaeger joined ABFS in March 2011 as the Chief Operating Officer. Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Washington and is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation.

Brian Johnson joined ABFS in March 2011 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager. Brian earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. Brian previously worked as a portfolio manager/trader for a private investor for 8 years. Through his daily interactions with the market and that mentor/employer, he has acquired extensive knowledge of security and technical analysis, market trends and trading.
“Doug and Julie have exceptional client relationship skills, Brian will significantly strengthen our portfolio management team, and Mark will help us stay focused on building and managing the business. All four bring valuable experience and substantial skills to the ABFS Investment Committee,” said Yates.
"ABFS also has plans to upgrade its technology to offer client portals which will allow clients instant online access to portfolio information and reports, a documents vault, and enhanced client communication. “We are also looking at adding video conferencing," said Mark Jaeger. “We have clients around the country. Making sure we can stay close to them and addressing their needs is critical to our success and theirs.”
Such new technology, combined with additions to the portfolio management team, will help ABFS to further enhance its investment strategies, which focus on capturing return potential while managing downside risk. The firm has a reputation for its past success in protecting investors’ capital through turbulent markets. Although past performance is no guarantee of future results, ABFS is known for its ability to manage portfolios through difficult market conditions.
Additional business plans include the expansion of financial planning capabilities and the introduction of new marketing and outreach programs to attract new clients.
