Third Generation Family Company Comes to the Aid of Fairfield, NJ Residents After Hurricane Irene
When Hurricane Irene made its way up the East Coast its presence was a riveting sight in Fairfield, New Jersey, destroying many homes and businesses. Residents and business owners lost their possessions and in several cases their properties were condemned. In an effort to lend a helping hand, Bornstein Sons, Inc. made an immediate decision to assist some local families by replacing the heating equipment that had been totally ruined by flooding.
Fairfield, NJ, September 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- After the devastation of Hurricane Irene on August 27, 2011, Bornstein Sons, Inc., a third generation firm whose expertise is providing heating, air conditioning, plumbing, solar and electrical installations and repair services to the residential, commercial and industrial markets throughout northern New Jersey, is pleased to announce their plans to make a contribution by installing replacement heating equipment that was destroyed by water damage.
After conceiving the idea, Bonnie Bornstein Fertel called upon some of her suppliers Lawrence Kantor Supply-Orange, NJ, Wallwork Group-West Caldwell, NJ and Wallington Supply-Fairfield, NJ, who enthusiastically responded to join in the effort by supplying the boilers and furnaces that Bornstein Sons technicians will install.
Bornstein Sons, Inc. has coordinated this effort with the Township of Fairfield who is in the process of identifying families that qualify.
According to Bonnie Bornstein Fertel, co-Principal “We were heartbroken for the families that lost so much during the recent catastrophic storm that hit our area. Being owners of a company that is based in Fairfield, it was obvious to us that we had to do something to help. We are in a position to do the right thing in the form of good deeds and we’re hopeful that other local business-owners will follow our lead. In times like this it is incumbent upon those that can offer a helping hand to do so; it’s the basic tenets of what is right and moral.”
According to Richard Fertel, co-Principal, “We know firsthand that Fairfield is no stranger to flooding. We made several attempts during the past two weeks to gain access to our office and warehouse and due to the extreme amount of rainfall we, like so many others, found it impossible to reach our place of business. The site of huge amounts of personal belongings, furnishings, debris and no doubt, memories piled high for the sanitation workers to cart away further confirmed the need for us to help. We continued to perform our daily business duties from our residence so that we could dispatch our technicians to provide the necessary services required for so many of our customers; many that we’ve serviced for decades and some that this unfortunate weather brought to us.”
Bonnie Bornstein Fertel further states that “We are hopeful that Mother Nature will be kind going forward so that Fairfield can heal and re-build.”
