One World Trekking Announces New Hiking Trip to the Scottish Highlands

Aspen, CO, September 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- One World Trekking, in conjunction with their expert ground operators in Scotland, will offer its first Scottish Highlands hiking adventure in 2012 with the two dates of May 20 – 27 and September 16 – 23. Continuing with their ‘Beyond the Himalayas’ hiking series, the Scottish Highlands trip offers a short and comfortable way to hike though the vast Scotland wilderness.

OWT's new hiking vacation completes a circuit of the Scottish Highlands and islands taking in some famous locations as well as visiting some lesser known gems. Starting from the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, eight lucky participants will visit the Cairngorms National Park for outstanding hiking and the chance to sample the best whiskey in the world! The group then moves west to hike up Ben Nevis, the United Kingdom’s highest mountain, and then wander into the community-owned island of Isle of Eigg and climb their highest peak too.

Finally, the group will travel north to the beautiful region of Torridon, with its winning combination of stunning mountains and coastal scenery.
