Real Diaper Industry Association to Announce Diaper Service Accreditation Program
Lousiville, KY, September 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Cloth diaper manufacturers, retailers, diaper services and diaper info services will gather together on September 26th-28th, for the Real Diaper Industry Association annual meeting and fall conference. This year, one of the main points of interest will be the new Diaper Service Accreditation Program.
This new accreditation program's purpose will be to provide members of the RDIA with an industry standardized testing process. Compliance with this testing process will afford diaper services the ability to market their business with a RDIA Accredited Diaper Service seal and help further the diaper service industry as a whole.
The RDIA recognizes the need for member businesses that launder diapers to make certain that the diapers they launder are safe for babies. Volunteers within RDIA have developed the first phase of the industry’s accreditation program, which will be revealed during the conference. The industry is serious about the necessity of diaper services supplying properly laundered diapers that are safe for reuse. Committee Chair, Kimberly Webb of Rockin' Green Laundry Detergent, feels that "the goal of a sanitary diaper is one that everyone should stand behind. Many of the diaper services are already doing independent third party testing, so we hope that accreditation helps streamline the process."
The program will be self-funded by the businesses that participate. Accredited businesses will pay annual accreditation fees which will include testing, account and testing set up, and account administration. Members are encouraged to attend the accreditation seminar, and will be allowed to sign up for the program that same day.
Topics will include: an outline of the accreditation purpose, procedures and fees, marketing guidelines for accredited and in-process services, and best practices for diaper service operations. An extensive Q&A session will also take place.
