GIE+EXPO Exhibitors Plan Booth Features to Add Drawing Power

Louisville, KY, September 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- With more than 600 exhibitors vying for attention during GIE+EXPO, exhibitors are planning a variety of prize drawings, features and unveilings to showcase their participation and draw attendees to their booths. GIE+EXPO is set for October 27-29 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

By visiting the Monster Power Equipment booth, visitors can be entered into a drawing to win a 14HP tailgate-mount truck loader. The winner will be announced during the tradeshow. In addition, Steel Pack Shop (Weedshark), will have drawings for Weedshark promotional products in their booth on Saturday, October 29.

In The Toro Company’s booth, visitors will have the opportunity to meet TV personality and professional fisherman Trev Gowdy on Thursday, October 27. Also, Ahmed Hassan, host of the popular DIY TV shows “Yard Crashers” and “Turf Wars,” will be on hand to meet visitors Thursday and Friday, October 27 and 28 at the ECHO/Shindaiwa demo area at 11 a.m., and at the ECHO/Shindaiwa indoor exhibit (booth #5194) at 1:30 p.m.

Green products and applications for Smart phones are among the new innovations exhibitors hope will draw industry members to their booths. Briggs & Stratton will introduce their new E-Series OHV engines and showcase their entire range of VanguardTM commercial engines, which will now feature Smartphone functionality for jobsite support.

Also on the Smartphone front, Techo-Bloc Precious Stones will introduce an iPod touch®/iPhone® app for contractors. It will allow contractors to manage a list of jobs, inspire clients with over 400 project images, view product information in the catalog, measure and plan the job site, generate a bill of materials, locate a nearby dealer, view the 2011 Spec Book and view installation videos. Visitors can preview this free app: www.youtube.com/techocbloc, and attend their presentation on the New Products Arena stage Thursday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m.

Among the environmentally friendly products on display will be the pure electric “Green Mowchine” zero-turn riding mower, and pure electric UTVs by Mean Green Products. The company originally developed the residential Green Mowchine to be heavy duty and mow about a 2-acre yard. Interest from commercial lawn care companies has resulted in the Commercial Green Mowchine, with a 62-inch floating mowing deck that discharges grass conventionally to the right side, or the double deck that will cut with a mix of rear and side discharge. The mower also features a battery pack exchange system that will allow all-day mowing.

In addition, Core Outdoor Power will debut a suite of gasless-powered lawn care products that they expect to revolutionize the industry. Featuring the world’s first high-torque, high-efficiency wireless motion device, CORE Technology replaces gas and traditional combustion engines. The company will introduce the CGT400 Trimmer, which is slated to hit shelves in the spring of 2012, as well as a Core Gasless-powered lawn mower and back pack blower, which will be available in 2013.

Many exhibitors will showcase their newest innovations on the New Products Arena stage throughout the day Thursday and Friday, October 27 and 28. A complete schedule will be available on-site in the Official Show Directory and posted by the stage. The presentations are open to all attendees. As an incentive to attend, a $500 gas card will be given away each hour to someone who is present in the New Products Arena.

GIE+EXPO is sponsored by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) and Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS). It is the 14th largest tradeshow in America, according to Trade Show Executive magazine.
