Adventure Motorcycle Tours – Transylvania Live Prepares to Breach the Great Wall of China and to Take the Capital Beijing, a Great Motorcycle Adventure
In the footsteps of Genghis Khan is a 12 day motorcycle itinerary departing from Beijing and offering incredible rides, freedom, exploration and general getting messy – a once in a lifetime adventure. Book the May 25, 2012 departure and enjoy an epic ride in the hoof prints of the marauding hordes riding a Classic Chinese Military Sidecar Motorcycle – Chang Jiang 750.
Beijing, China, September 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Motorcyclists have the chance to ride on the remote wastelands, rugged mountains and endless steppes of Inner Mongolia and finally breach the Great Wall of China in the mountains, north of Beijing.
The adventure is rough enough to make it real but with quality and comfort just where the guests need it. The riders will not have too many rules to obey (just a few for safety); instead they will have lots of freedom with an awesome riding schedule – all through the amazing outback in China.
All basic trip costs are included: bikes, petrol, beer, food, camping, hotels, whatever riding involves. The only thing that the motorcyclists need is to know is how to ride and to bring their gear. The riders can even pay a visit to an underground surplus bunker if they need extras.
The Mission is the same as Genghis Khan's – to breach the Great Wall of China and to take the capital, Beijing. Riders will enjoy an afternoon walking the wall and will spend the night in a nearby courtyard house with private chefs; they have earned it.
The Route will cover around 250 km per day through Inner Mongolia and some country terrain: the rolling Steppes (Grasslands), winding mountain roads and river valleys. The roads will mostly be paved and in some sections they will meet some dirt for fun.
The motorcycle – The Mighty Chang Jiang 750
The CJ 750 was first designed by the Germans pre-WWII. The plans were given to the Russians, who in turn passed them on to the Chinese, where the bike has been reproduced until today as a military vehicle – now for the guests to ride – 400 kg, maximum speed 100 km (downhill), a lot of fun.
