Poems from the Human Pallet, Night Rhymes, Published by Outskirts Press
Outskirts Press announces the latest highly anticipated American poetry book from North Salt Lake, UT, author Owen Guard.
North Salt Lake, UT, September 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Outskirts Press, Inc. has published Night Rhymes by Owen Guard. The author's most recent book to date is a 5.5 x 8.5 paperback in the American poetry category and is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The webpage at www.outskirtspress.com/nightrhymes was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.
What’s it like being a teenage girl with a crush? What about being orphaned and homeless and not knowing what will happen to you at any moment? Who really stole the cookie from the cookie jar? Readers will find the answers to these and other questions in this book.
Paying close attention to what they read, readers will find little hidden poetic treasures: morsels of modern matters mingled with withering ways and timeless tales temporarily trapped in text until untamed intellect freely flows.
Now, in a mixture of thought-provoking, tear-jerking and occasionally knee-slapping poetry, here is the Night Rhymes collection, inspired to be written while we were in the middle of being on guard.
167 pages in length, Night Rhymes is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the American poetry category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Night Rhymes meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $16.95.
Additionally, Night Rhymes can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press Direct bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/bookstore.

About the author:
Before obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Spanish along with minors in Criminal Justice and Sociology, Owen Guard spent many long nights counseling, listening and talking to adults both young and old, male and female, living in various correctional settings. Although none of these poems directly reflects the story of any one person Mr. Guard has spoken with over the years, he would like to thank those many people for the way they have helped to open his mind and influence his thinking. Family, friends and other personal life experiences also contributed to the creating of the Night Rhymes collection.
