Hillside International Chapel & Truth Center, Inc. Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Musical Drama: "The House That Faith Built" – October 1, 2011
Hillside International Chapel & Truth Center, under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King, is celebrating 40 years of providing spiritual teachings and services throughout the world. To culminate Hillside’s 40th anniversary celebration, Hillside will present “The House That Faith Built”, a musical drama, on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 7:00 pm. This production will be held in Hillside’s Sanctuary at 2450 Cascade Road, SW, Atlanta, GA 30311.
Atlanta, GA, September 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Hillside International Chapel and Truth Center, under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Barbara Lewis King, is celebrating 40 years of providing spiritual teachings and services to the city of Atlanta, the state of Georgia, the nation and throughout the world. To culminate Hillside’s 40th anniversary celebration, the Act One Theatrical Ministry and the Music Ministry of Hillside International Chapel and Truth Center will present “The House That Faith Built” on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Written, directed and performed by members of the congregation, this musical drama will portray the challenges and triumphs in the life of the founder, Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King, and in Hillside’s historic journey over the last 40 years. This production will be held in Hillside’s Sanctuary at 2450 Cascade Road, SW, Atlanta, GA 30311.
Bishop King, affectionately called “Dr. Barbara” by her members and friends, began this non-denominational, ecumenical ministry in 1971 with twelve members who met in the living room of her home. Through growth and expansion, Hillside International Chapel and Truth Center now has more than 32 ministries and auxiliaries, a school of ministry, a scholarship foundation and an accredited learning center. The ministry also impacts the international community through a library project in Accra, Ghana, an outreach ministry in South Africa, and community development support in Brazil. Consistent with the teachings of Bishop King, Hillside promotes interfaith harmony and unity by embracing diverse religious traditions and ideologies and people of all cultures. "My personal commitment is to touch someone's life and help them to see their very special talent to be given to the world as only they can do," says Bishop King. This musical drama will depict much of Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King’s and Hillside’s rich history. The ministry invites everyone to witness and be inspired by a spiritual message about the power of faith, a message for all people and all times.
This red carpet, black-tie event is free and open to the public. A love offering will be received. Doors will open for red carpet photos and refreshments at 6:00 p.m. Bishop King will greet the audience after the production.
