Below is more in depth information on The Car Showcase
Purpose: The Car Showcase (TCS) is meant to bring together those who find appreciation in the visual and performance modification of their vehicles. With monthly contests, a unique owner and vehicle profile system, and a well-traveled forum, members of the community come together to exhibit their own cars as well as to celebrate the entire culture of car modification.
Contests: One of the main features of our site, and just one separating factor between TCS and its competition. Contests are held regularly to reward the members who have gone the extra nine yards to make their vehicle look and perform like none others. By providing different Tiers of contests, TCS gives car owners of all different levels a chance to compete; eliminating the dominance of a higher budget. Contest prizes will range from rims, to racing seats, to exhaust systems and body kits.
The higher the Tier level, the more desirable the prize, as well as the higher the cost of entry. Entry is free in the lowest level of competition.
Triple Crown Events are designed as TCS’s premier cup event, with less strict contest terms that allow anyone serious about their car to enter for a chance to win the TCS trophy and the contest’s largest and most expensive reward.
Tier Level 1 contests are targeted towards the professionals in this field. With top-of-the-line vehicles modified to near perfection, Level 1 contests will be competitive and a close call every time.
Tier Level 2 is for more dedicated car modifiers. These are individuals who take their cars to body shops to fine-tune their vehicles and who frequent car shows on a regular basis.
Tier Level 3 is the lowest level of competition, meant to attract contestants who put a small effort into their cars; your everyday car enthusiast.
Profile System: Much like the well-known Myspace, TCS will allow users to present information about themselves as well as their cars, and even their auto-shops and teams or groups! In addition to these features, member profiles will allow for detailed profiles of all of the owner’s cars; if they own 5 cars, all five can be listed under the owner’s profile.
Standard functions, such as Private Messaging, Friend-listing, Commenting, Bulletin-Posting, Blogging, and several other features are going to be available as well.
Shop: TCS will be in partner with an automotive shop that will sell their products on our website. These products range from seats, to rims, to interior and exterior accessories. Along with this, TCS hopes to release its own apparel in the near future.
As the site progresses, and with member input, we hope to establish one of the most well-known websites on the Internet.
