I Am a Woman of God Launches the Buy a Shirt - Change a Life Program
I am a Woman of God launches their Buy a Shirt - Change a Life program which aims to change lives one shirt at a time.
Norwalk, CT, September 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- IamaWomanofGod.com is happy to introduce their Buy a Shirt Change a Life program which aims to raise funds, not only for charities, but for individuals who are having a tough time receiving the help they need.
The program was launched with the intention of blessing others. What the program is developed to do is to provide a donation to individuals, families and charitable organizations. The program's motto is Buy a Shirt, Change a Life which was inspired by Galatians 6:2 which states to bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. This verse is a reminder that Christians are called to serve and lend a helping hand to those who need it. IAAWOG.com know that they can't change everyone's life but the program is made to impact as many people as possible.
The program works in the following manner. A person or organization will be chosen to be featured as the recipient of a specially designed T-Shirt. The shirt will be offered for 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 weeks IAAWOG.com will send the recipient a check for the amount that was raised during those 2 weeks. The shirts will retail for $15.00 of which 46% ($7.00) of the proceeds will go to the recipient. The difference will be used to print more shirts and cover the costs of marketing, overhead and other production costs. A different person or charity will be the recipient of the proceeds every 2 weeks.
IAAWOG.com will be conducting social media promotions via their facebook pages www.facebook.com/iamawomanofgod & www.facebook.com/iamamanofgod and through their website at www.IamaWomanofGod.com as well as other social sites. They will also be working closely with their affiliates and different bloggers to get the word out. They want to take advantage of the social market to spread the word about the Buy a Shirt - Change a Life program.
The first recipients will be the Burhart family. They are the parents of Andrew Burhart who is 4 years old and suffers from Cerebral Palsy. Mother (Kellie) left the workforce a few years ago to meet Andrew's needs. Father (Andrew Sr) is currently a high school math teacher. The medical bills have been too much for them, hence, Andrew Sr has had to work side jobs just to try to pay the bills ($800 a month). Son (Andrew) is a little blessing. He is 4 years old and is such a happy and fun little guy. He has the most infectious giggle in the world and when he smiles, he does so with his whole face (eyes, mouth, etc)… so much so that you can tell he is smiling even when you are standing behind him. We are blessed to be a part of lending a hand to the Burkharts.
