Algonquin Studios Teams Up with the Buffalo Chapter of Association of Legal Administrators for “Coffee & Connections-An IT/Computer Roundtable”
Buffalo, NY, September 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Algonquin Studios is pleased to announce its participation in "Coffee and Connections - An IT/Computer Roundtable" in conjunction with the Buffalo Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). The event will offer ALA members the chance to use Algonquin's Information Technology team as a sounding board for new ideas and a resource for advice or questions they may need answered.
Algonquin Studios and the ALA decided to host the educational roundtable because, when looking at Information Technology services in the legal industry, they found that the topics and issues are so broad that legal administrators often find themselves in a uneasy position-unsure how to solve problems, who to ask for help, or even what questions they should be asking to get the help they need. Frequently, the individuals tasked with keeping their firms’ IT infrastructure up-to-date and secure aren’t IT professionals at all; they’re legal professionals who don’t have anywhere to turn when they have difficulties with their systems.
As a sponsor of the Buffalo ALA Chapter, Algonquin is hoping to provide a sounding board to the chapter’s members, encouraging them to ask any of a variety of questions in order to open up a larger conversation about new technologies, best practices, vendors, and more. Potential topics of discussion could include data security, disaster recovery plans, help desk support, and technical litigation support services like e-discovery and forensics.
“These days, technology changes so quickly. Not knowing something doesn’t make you foolish, it makes you human,” says Algonquin’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Steve Kiernan II. “We’re excited to offer ALA members an opportunity to learn more about the evolving technologies being used in the legal industry and to get recommendations on best practices, hardware purchases, security issues, and more.”
The Coffee & Connections IT/Computer Roundtable is being held on October 18, 2011, at 665 Main Street, Suite 200, in Buffalo, NY. The presentation will begin at noon.
