Author Jennifer Laurens' Young Adult Novel "Overprotected" Available to Bookstores Nationwide in Early 2012
Pleasant Grove, UT, September 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Author Jennifer Lauren is set to release her novel "Overprotected" to bookstores in February 2012. The book, which is geared toward young adult audiences, is the ninth novel from the author.
"Overprotected" is a story of obsessive love and the quest for independence. It revolves around Ashlyn, a lonely society princess living in New York City. Her father, obsessed with keeping her safe, hires a bodyguard he knows she could never fall in love with. Unfortunately he was wrong.
Mystery and romance abound, as a kidnapping leaves a father frantic about his only child's safety.
"While all my books are close to my heart, 'Overprotected' was an incredibly fun story to write," says author Jennifer Laurens. "It was fun to step into a world different from mine, a world of high society, and take a look at forbidden love. I also wanted to take readers through Ashlyn's journey, as a normal girl who simply wanted her independence. I think it's a struggle many young adults deal with, the desire to be their own person while still living under their parent's rules."
"Overprotected," which is already available on Amazon and in Kindle and Nook formats, will be made available to bookstores for distribution in February 2012. The book will retail for $13.99 and be available in a paperback format.
