There will be games for the kids, pumpkin picking, hay rides, and fun for the entire family. The public is invited to participate in this day of fun and cultural exchange.
San Rafael, CA, September 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- AuPairCare will host its annual International Day on Saturday, October 15, 2011 for Marin/North Bay Area families and their international au pairs at Tolay Regional Park in Petaluma, CA to coincide with the area's Fall Fest. Local AuPairCare staff, host families and au pairs from all over the world will be in attendance.
The public is invited to join in the festivities of International Day. Children can pick the perfect pumpkin, enjoy games, and even take a hayride. It's also a great time for families and au pairs to meet and share fall customs with friends from all over the world.
Kavita Welch, Gael Murphy, and Rebecca Worseley, AuPairCare's local Area Directors in the Marin/North Bay area are co-hosting the event.
“International Day at Tolay Park is always our most popular annual event! Our host families and au pairs love having the opportunity to come together and share their experiences with the au pair childcare program. We always have a great turn-out of area families and au pairs, so it's a great mix of people and cultures," Kavita Welch said. "We invite the public to join us this year and learn from other families about the au pair childcare option. And have fun doing it!"
International Day is meant to be a day of sharing and fostering cultural awareness. It is one of the many ways that the au pair program introduces American cultures to AuPairCare's international au pairs who call the Marin/North Bay area home for a year. It is also a good time for the American host families to share experiences and answer questions about the au pair childcare option. For the kids? Well, it's just fun and that’s all it needs to be.
Steven Courtney, Regional Manager for AuPairCare in Northern California, sums it up this way, "I don't think there is any other single day where goodwill and understanding is better, more comprehensively exchanged," says Courtney. "I feel fortunate every year to be a part of this day and to invite other families to come out and learn about this enriching childcare option. No other childcare option comes with the reward of cultural exchange. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?!"
