Advocating at risk youth's music education, appreciation and intervention.
Atlanta, GA, September 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Cinder Entertainment, (www.cinderent.com), announced today its selection of Empty Vessel Music, (www.emptyvessel.org), as its “Charity of Choice” for its upcoming 2012 REIGN TOUR and Conference. Empty Vessel is a 501(c)3 For Impact music company providing at risk youth with music education, appreciation and intervention through its program called The Music Matters Project.
“Music really is the vibe of our society,” says Nathan Knight President and CEO of Cinder “When I heard about Empty Vessel and what they actually do to make music programs like this possible for kids, I was blown away.”
The concept behind The Music Matters Project and its mentor centric program addresses some of the major obstacles to a child's social development. These obstacles and at risk factors include economic depravity, drug abuse, lack of self-worth, loss of hope, loss of aspirations and mental health issues. “Music has always been a way to address social issues,” says Gerry Van Mansfeld, Executive Director of Empty Vessel “Entertainers and Artist have always been at the forefront in drawing attention to these issues and their fans are eager to help IMPACT their world through music.”
The REIGN TOUR and conference will feature one of the most relevant voices of this generation Tye Tribbett, Australian Christian Worship band Planet Shakers, The remarkable Freddy Rodriguez and other artist and speakers in its 11 city tour. The tour, its artist and speakers , will encourages their fan base and tour attendees to sponsor the program to help provide participating children a musical instrument, lessons and mentor ship. Empty Vessel has an aggressive goal increasing the program to reach 1500 children over the next 18 months. The REIGN TOUR and its artists will help the program raise a portion of the 1.3 million dollars it will take to have that impact and meet the goal.
Nathan Knight wrapped it up by saying, “With every single donation per month you give, that enables a student to get involved in the music program as well as provided the instrument they need. On behalf of Cinder Entertainment, we are pleased to partner with Empty Vessel in efforts to bring music programs back to the communities for the youth."
