HelpersUnite.com, World’s First Crowdfunding Site to Tie Artistic Projects and Business Ventures to Charitable Giving, Chooses Wells Bring Hope as a Featured Cause
HelpersUnite.com, new crowdfunding site that ties together artistic or business projects with charitable giving highlights Wells Bring Hope as a featured Cause at launch. Wells Bring Hope is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to drill for clean water wells in Africa.
Brooklyn, NY, September 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Wells Bring Hope, a Los Angeles based charity committed to saving lives with clean water by drilling wells to bring safe water and good sanitation to rural villages in Niger, West Africa has partnered with HelpersUnite.com, the world’s first crowd-funding site to tie artistic projects and business ventures to charitable giving.
Wells Bring Hope is one of the first charities to align with HelpersUnite.com, an online crowdfunding platform that targets artists and entrepreneurs committed to donating a portion of project fundraising proceeds to a charitable organization, and who may be interested in selling tickets to events-based projects online through a single, fully integrated site.
HelpersUnite.com is the flagship service from recently launched GoodWorldCreations. The site is unique in the crowdfunding space in that it requires all projects to select a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, then specify a percentage of funds raised to donate to that charity. Projects not already aligned with a charity can search a database housed directly on the website.
Luan Cox, CEO and co-founder of HelpersUnite.com parent company GoodWorldCreations, says, “Artists and entrepreneurs have the ability to make a tremendous impact on the world around them simply by bringing their vision to fruition. With HelpersUnite.com, part of our mission is to help ensure that they are also empowered to fuel good. By sharing a portion of their raised funds, not only do they literally ‘pay it forward’ immediately, but they also gain a potential partner in the process. We are delighted to feature the Wells Bring Hope project at launch because the work that they do is so vital, so essential to basic survival, and something that many of us take for granted. We felt it was important to highlight their cause as just one example of the many great causes housed directly on the site. Our database of featured organizations grows daily and we are thrilled to have Wells Bring Hope aboard.”
Wells Bring Hope founder, former Fortune 100 marketing consultant, Barbara Goldberg is pleased to be working with HelpersUnite.com. Ms. Goldberg explains, “We have many requests from event promoters and creative artists who would like to partner with us to raise funds. With HelpersUnite.com, we can send them to the site to start fundraising immediately.”
Wells Bring Hope is committed to drilling wells to bring safe water and good sanitation to rural villages in Niger, West Africa–saving lives with safe water. Niger is one of the three poorest countries in the world, according to the 2010 UN Development Index, and one of many places where contaminated water kills innocent victims, most often infants and young children. The burden of getting water falls upon women and girls, who walk back-breaking miles every day to find and carry water back to their villages. The result? Girls are not able to go to school and women have no time to work productively to generate income for their families. This doesn’t have to happen. Drill a well deep into the ground and lives are transformed instantly: child mortality is reduced by 65%, girls go to school, and women get micro-loans and start small businesses, feeling pride in their accomplishment. They have hope for their future. Wells Bring Hope is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
