Bonro Medical Awarded by BBB for Ethical Business Practices
Augusta, GA, September 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Bonro Medical, headquartered in Evans, GA, has been recognized by Better Business Bureau of Central Georgia & the CSRA with a Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The Category II Award, for businesses with an employee count between 11 and 99, rewarded Bonro Medical President George Roese and his team for their steadfast insistence on ethical business practices. “Of course, we know that we practice what we preach,” Roese said after receiving the award. “But it is so gratifying to have an unbiased third-party recognize our efforts, too. And especially an organization so respected as the BBB.”
Bonro Medical operates a Durable Medical Equipment store in Evans, but also manufactures and distributes the patented Vacurect™ vacuum therapy device for men who suffer from ED. While the company is headquartered in Evans, the Vacurect™ is marketed and shipped world-wide. Both aspects of the business – the local store and the global marketplace – were considered by the BBB in making the award. “The Torch Award criteria were tough,” commented Bonro Medical Vice-President Amber Ford, who prepared the entry form. “All aspects of our business were addressed, including honesty in marketing, employee feedback, supplier relationships, industry reputation, community involvement and support and, of course, customer comments and relationships.”
According to the Better Business Bureau, the goal of the Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics is to:
· Gain public recognition for businesses that go above and beyond in serving their customers, suppliers, employees and communities.
· Recognize businesses for their commitment to maintaining a culture that consistently sets exceptionally high standards of behavior in the buyer-seller relationship.
· Highlight the importance of fulfilling a company’s obligation to the marketplace to do what is right and fair.
· Demonstrate to the business community that adhering to BBB ethical standards is the hallmark of successful, competitive companies.
The BBB Torch Awards luncheon was held at West Lake Country Club and featured keynote speaker Mayor Deke Copenhaver. Following the awards ceremony, Mayor Copenhaver spoke to the winners telling them that they “are all proof positive that ethics in the marketplace do matter and that doing things the right way leads to great success.”
