Storage Village of Millersville, MD Installs 99kW Solar Electric System
Millersville, MD, September 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Storage Village “Goes Solar” continuing to help the environment & local community.
Storage Village expanded their commitment to the community’s well-being with the completion of a 99 kW Solar Electric PV System, which became fully operational at their Millersville property today.
Solar power will enable Storage Village to greatly reduce its reliance on electricity from the public power grid in favor of a more sustainable source of energy. Green Street Solar was chosen to install the 550 roof-top solar panels and expects this system to provide approximately 115,000 kWh’s of electricity annually, cutting Storage Village’s conventional energy sources by almost half.

Storage Village continuously strives to uphold their core values of excellence, integrity and community service. Since June, Storage Village has focused on the betterment of the community’s environment through its partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Trust. In addition to the environment, Storage Village practices its dedication to the community through employee volunteer service and seasonal drives to meet their neighbors’ needs. Each full time employee donates at least 8 hours of his or her time to volunteer service. Beginning October 1st, 2011, Storage Village will be spearheading a coat collection effort for the Arundel House of Hope.
