New Group of EpiPlus Histone Modification Antibodies Released

Littleton, CO, September 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Novus Biologicals announced today the release of a new group of Epi-PlusTM antibodies for histone modification testing. Over the past several months, Novus has collaborated with 21st Century Biochemicals, a leading manufacturer of custom antibodies and peptides, to generate the most well validated antibodies for modified histones and other epigenetic targets.

Histone modifications are part of a complicated system of checks and balances at the epigenetic level and several histone modifications have been definitively shown to affect the regulation of transcription in a variety of cellular processes.

The laboratory teams at both Novus and 21st Century have performed extensive validation work in multiple assays, including chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), Western Blot, dot blots using modified peptide arrays, and immunocytochemistry (ICC). Additionally, their lab team is in the process of characterizing the entire Epi-PlusTM line in C. elegans lysates, with data coming in the next few months.
