Canadian Resort Development Association is the Latest Supporter of Timeshare and Fractional Expo GNEX 2012
The vacation ownership trade association for Canada endorses Perspective Magazine’s second annual networking and awards event.
Orlando, FL, October 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Perspective Magazine, the timeshare and fractional industry’s global independent information leader, announces that the Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA) will be a GNEX 2012 Supporter for the Second Annual Global Networking Expo, GNEX 2012 – A Global Meeting of Minds.
“As a result of our participation and success with last year’s successful event, we’re very excited to support GNEX again this year. With CRDA currently expanding our base of members into the US, Mexico and the Caribbean, we believe that GNEX 2012 in Cancun will be the perfect medium and venue for us to connect with the industry’s premiere developers and decision makers within a friendly, open and positive environment,” said Ross Perlmutter, President and CEO, CRDA.
January 31st – February 2nd, 2012, will be the dates for GNEX 2012 and the Perspective Magazine Awards Gala, to be held at the marvelous Ritz Carlton Cancun in Cancun, Mexico.
Vacation ownership industry leaders from around the world will gather to use this innovative networking expo as a platform for new business opportunities. The three-day forum will feature thought-provoking and interactive panel discussions, informative presentations, an exhibitor hall, creative workshops, multiple networking sessions, a tour of a selection of successful properties from the local area (limited spaces) and areas for one-on-one business meetings. The expo will also include a welcome reception, open networking time and the Perspective Magazine Awards Gala, to be held at the Hacienda Tres Rios Resort, where industry professionals will vie for global recognition of excellence in over 30 categories.
With the advent of various flexible, creative leisure products, CRDA has evolved to become the pre-eminent industry association responsible for overseeing all forms of vacation ownership in Canada. Most recently, the Association has expanded internationally as developers in the rest of North America seek CRDA’s endorsement and credibility; an affiliation that has proven itself invaluable when presenting their programs to affluent, qualified Canadian prospects. The association has successfully consulted to governments at all levels (Federal, Provincial and Municipal), and has been extremely instrumental in working with them to ensure the drafting of fair and equitable operational, taxation and protection policies that govern both association members and their consumers.
“We are delighted to welcome back CRDA as a GNEX Supporter for another year. The Canadian market is a crucial component to our success in North America and it means a great deal to have the support of CRDA as well as so many other trade associations from around the world,” said Paul Mattimoe, president and CEO, Perspective Magazine.
In addition to supporting GNEX 2012, CRDA will host its next annual industry conference on May 16-18th, 2012, in Toronto, Ontario. When available, registration information for the CRDA 2012 event will be accessible at http://www.crdaconference.com/.

About CRDA
The Canadian Resort Development Association is an industry-based association that is dedicated to furthering the ownership-based resort and leisure industry, both at home and abroad. It was founded over 28 years ago as “the Resort Timesharing Council of Canada” in response to the public’s insatiable demand for more information about typical “fee simple” (or “deeded”) timeshare products.
The goals of the Association are to encourage and maintain a high standard of ethical conduct throughout the industry and to assist in the education of Canadian industry members toward an enhanced standard of professionalism. CRDA regularly advises and guides consumers before, during and after their purchase, and it directs consumers to those member companies who have agreed to abide by CRDA’s “Code of Standards and Ethics” and its objectives.
