Ft Collins, CO, October 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- New Catalog Out, Website Updated with 2012 Itineraries, Dates, Prices

ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours, in 1972 the first North American company to offer European pedal tours in Italy (http://www.experienceplus.com/), is sending clients 40th anniversary greetings with a book-by-Oct. 31, 2011 early booking discount of $200 per person on all 2012 trips. It is also holding the line on inflation by holding 90 percent of its tried-and-true journeys in 2012 to 2011 levels.

The company that bikes throughout Europe, including, most recently, Scotland and Germany, began with a Pisa-to-Venice cycling tour in 1972. For 10 days 10 guests camped in tents; Rick and Paola Malpezzi Price, the company’s founders, led the tour; Paola cooked; the bikes were 10-speed; and the entire trip (except for air) was $245.

A June 6-17, 2012 re-creation of the original tour is $4,495 per person (chop off $200 with an early bird booking); accommodations reflect the Italian love of la dolce vita; even though Paola’s kitchen may rival Italy’s finest, she’s turned the cooking over to exemplary chefs; prize vintners are added to the mix; the bikes are now 27 to 30-speed miracles; and a second generation is running the show. 40th Anniversary Bike across Italy – Pisa to Venice is an 11-day, 339-mile adventure that begins in Pisa and ends in Venice after experiencing three distinct regions: Tuscany, the Apennines and the Adriatic Coast.

There are a total of 20 distinct Italian adventures from the Lakes District to Puglia and Sicily. Two are new for 2012.

Bicycling Italy's Lakes District will be a 12-day adventure of over 350 miles at $4,495 per person, double beginning and ending at Lake Maggiore / Mantua. An 8-day program is offered at $3,495. Italy's Lakes District is a transition zone between peninsular Italy and Alpine Europe. This series of lakes created by the melt-water of alpine glaciers enjoys a unique micro-climate harboring olive and citrus groves, exotic botanic gardens, villas and extraordinary vistas. Long an attraction for writers and artists, the Lake District and this program encompass Maggiore, Lugano and Como. 2012 departure dates are June 17, July 29 and Aug. 19.

Departure dates in 2012 are May 27 and Sept. 16.

About ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours
No North American company has been running European cycling tours longer than ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours. Launched in Italy in 1972 the Colorado-based company now offers global cycling tours immersed in local character to 21 countries on five continents. Throughout the years as the business and industry have evolved, ExperiencePlus!’ roots as a family business have remained strong. Authentic, experienced, self-paced and engaging were the ethos of parents Rick and Paola Malpezzi Price which have now been passed down to their daughters and current directors Monica Price and Maria Elena Price.

Standing behind their beliefs, ExperiencePlus! is the only adventure cycling company that issues a 10-point Customer’s Bill of Rights outlining what clients can and should expect while pedaling on a company tour. Their cultural cycling programs engage tour leaders who are expert cyclists and trained cultural interpreters, guiding guests on innovative routes and immersing them in off-the-beaten-path experiences.

ExperiencePlus! is a 2011 and a 2010 recipient of National Geographic Traveler magazine’s 50 Tours of a Lifetime. The 2011 issue also featured Maria Elena Price and Monica Price, co-owners, among the world’s Top 10 Tour Guides.
