Gov. Hickenlooper and Sen. Johnston to Present 2011 Outstanding Impact in Education Award
Denver, CO, October 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Governor John Hickenlooper along with Senator Mike Johnston will deliver remarks and present the Outstanding Impact in Education award to Sage Investment Holdings CEO and chairman, Zachary T. Neumeyer at the RAFT (Resource Area for Teaching) Colorado fundraising event on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 from 6-9 p.m.
RAFT, a resource area designed to inspire creativity and innovative teaching, will be hosting Upcycle, a fundraising event celebrating resourceful education. The event is a hands-on affair with various science experiments and activities, live music and an interactive presentation by scientist and RAFT board member, Dr. Barry Kluger-Bell.
“Having experienced RAFT firsthand, I have seen how RAFT bridges the gap between tightening education budgets and heightened expectations for teachers,” said Senator Johnston, former principal and co-founder of Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts (MESA).
“The value RAFT brings to education in Colorado is immeasurable. I am proud to support RAFT and ask you to do the same.”
