Sub Zero Ice Cream & Yogurt Has Arrived in Layton, UT

Layton, UT, October 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Sub Zero Ice Cream is proud to announce the opening of its newest location in Layton, with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 8th.

Grand opening festivities will be from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. With free taste tests, giveaways and live music.

Sub Zero Ice Cream & Yogurt has redefined the way people perceive ice cream with its unique flash freezing process and menu board that offers over a trillion flavor combinations. Customers can choose their base, any of the many flavor and mix-in combinations, then watch as their creation is flash-frozen right before their eyes.

“Sub Zero is more than ice cream—it’s the whole experience," Layton Owner, Jamie Dicks said. "It’s ice cream mixed in with the fun factor, and a tasty result. Our shop is on track to serve up a unique experience to our customers.”

Before becoming storeowners, Jamie worked in fast-paced environment for the Aerospace Industry and Ryan has been with the oil refinery industry for over eight years.

"Sticking with the company as it went through major challenges, such as layoffs and bankruptcy, has brought me to welcome challenges and not back down at the fear of failing," Ryan said. "I demand more of myself and am driven for results."

Jamie and Ryan are excited to use their knowledge and skills to bring the best ice cream experience to Davis County. They are thankful for the support and help of their family for making this business venture possible.

"This experience has been an invaluable lesson in the strength of pulling together as a family. There is no way this store would have existed without the drive and determination of Jeff and Judy Smith (Jamie's parents) and other family support," Ryan said. "This has been a great experience for our whole family and it has required all of us to pull it off. We can't wait to see what interesting concoctions we can all come up with!"

But the real inspiration and most important accomplishment for both Jamie and Ryan have been their daughters.

"Our most important accomplishment is our two girls—which drove us to the Sub Zero decision," Jamie explained. "We are hoping that this hard work can lead to fun rewards as a family, and encourage that there is nothing better than getting paid for doing something you love."
