Anna's Gourmet Goodies Helps Feed Special Olympians
Anna's Gourmet Cookies donated oatmeal raisin cookies to feed the athletes at the Special Olympics competition held on October 1, 2011 in Raleigh, NC.
Raleigh, NC, October 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Anna’s Gourmet Goodies donated cookies to feed 300 athletes in the Special Olympics North Carolina competition held on Saturday, October 1 at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. The cookies were distributed, along with lunch, by the Wake Forest Civitan Club.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Anna’s has supported the Special Olympics through the Civitan Club. Chris Duke, co-founder and Chief Baking Officer received an award for service from Civitan in 2008.
“We really appreciate the support from Anna’s Gourmet Goodies,” said Bill McKenney, President of the Wake Forest Civitan club. “The cookies are fantastic and the athletes love ‘em!”
Anna’s Gourmet Goodies supports a variety of charities including Pretty in Pink, Habitat for Humanity, Sharefish, Striving for More, and others around throughout the country. “We try to do as much as we can to give something back to the community,” said Duke. “We are especially honored to support the Special Olympics and the athletes who compete in these games.”
