Neal Communities Reports Success After Hosting "Our Trade Partners Are Worth Gold" Event
Neal Communities struck gold, forging new business partnerships after an event.
Bradenton, FL, October 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Since Neal Communities is building more homes and creating new communities throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties, the company has had a need for additional vendors and trade partners. Construction schedules have shortened, putting more demand on current partners. Waterscapes Pools & Spas, Neal’s pool division, has also been in need of trade partners. In order to meet this growing demand, the Lakewood Ranch-based home builder hosted the “Our Trade Partners Are Worth Gold” event on September 22 at the Holiday Inn Lakewood Ranch.
“It’s a positive problem. We are running short of trade partners and need to hire more. This is especially true in the Venice area where we’re opening new communities,” states Neal Communities’ President, Pat Neal. “We already have excellent contractor relationships and look forward to adding to that number.”
The event attracted about 150 potential trade partners. From that, Neal Communities and Waterscapes established 20 new partnerships and around 75 new relationships. The participants included framers, mechanical technicians, flooring, tile specialists, and roofing contractors who spanned distances from Hillsborough to Collier Counties.
“This was a big success. The vendors had the opportunity to talk personally and casually with our construction and purchasing departments,” said Cathy Engels, purchasing & estimating director of Neal Communities. “This was important because we’re usually so busy we don’t have time to get to know new vendors.”
There are about 500 people, directly and indirectly, employed on any given day through Neal Communities’ construction activity. That number is expected to rise significantly as demand for homes increases.
“We’re looking two years out and can see that as the housing market continues to rebound; we’re going to be short of vendors,” adds Chris Clark, Neal’s area construction manager. “We want to meet and train them now to keep the momentum going.”
Neal Communities is ranked #1 locally by MetroStudy and by Hanley Wood Market Intelligence based on number of home sales and ranked #94 nationally among home builders by BUILDER Magazine. As the area’s largest and most established locally owned and operated private builder, Neal Communities is continually striving for excellence in every aspect of the home building and development business. Neal Signature Homes, John Neal Homes, Charlene Neal PureStyle, Waterscapes Pools & Spas, and First Continental Mortgage all contribute to the firm’s continued, record-setting local success. With over 8,000 homes built in Southwest Florida, Neal Communities’ honors and accolades include 37 Parade of Homes 2011 Awards, 48 Aurora Awards, five Best in American Living Awards and hundreds of local and regional industry awards.
