DiCicco Gulman & Company Named to INSIDE Public Accounting’s “Best of the Best” Top 50 Accounting Firms Nationwide
Survey Names Woburn Accounting Firm Among Country's Best
Woburn, MA, October 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- DiCicco, Gulman & Company LLP (DGC) announced today that the firm has been named to INSIDE Public Accounting’s “Best of the Best” list of the top 50 accounting firms in the country, based on more than 50 criteria.
The top firms are not ranked, but are divided into two groups – the top 25 firms and 25 honorable mention firms. DGC, which is one of only two New England firms to make the “Best of the Best” list, was among the 25 honorable mention firms.
More than 400 firms participated in the 21st INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) Annual Survey and Analysis. More than 50 criteria were used to identify firms with “stellar management and overall operational performance.” DGC participated for the first time this year.
“Best of the Best firms represent the top accounting firms in the nation,” according to Michael Platt, principal of the Platt Group and publisher of IPA. “Each firm demonstrates the right combination of vision, planning and execution to deliver superior performance.”
“We believe that great client service comes from making DGC a great place to work,” said Leonard N. DiCicco, Jr., CPA, managing partner and co-founder. “That philosophy has helped DGC grow, while achieving national recognition for our work. It’s gratifying to be recognized by IPA and to be included with many of the best accounting firms in the country.”
It’s not the first time the 15-year-old firm has been recognized for its performance. Other awards DGC has received include:
· 2009 Accounting Today, top 10 players
· “Best Accounting Firms to Work For,” ranked third in the country by Accounting Today and Best Companies Group
· 2010 Pacesetter Award from Boston Business Journal, based on the firm’s growth
· #13 on Boston Business Journal’s list of the area’s largest accounting firms
DGC has three main practice groups: commercial business, private clients and real estate. The commercial business group focuses on private/family-owned companies, providing entrepreneurs with guidance and support through planning, transactions and life events. The private clients group caters to high-net-worth individuals and families with sophisticated tax issues related to estate and gift, trust and expatriate tax matters. The real estate group offers strategic advice to developers and owners, as well as investors. Within each practice group are teams that further specialize in industry niches, such as architectural and engineering firms, nonprofit organizations, expatriate taxation, life sciences and more.
“The success of these firms is a tribute to their leadership. Their performance defies economic trends by recognizing the long-term goals that are needed in order to sustain growth through both prosperous times and down times,” said Kelly Platt, managing editor, and publisher of IPA. “We salute all of these firms and recognize their overall management strategies as models that the profession can be quite proud of."
