Tampa, FL, October 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On Attention Talk Radio, produced by DIG Coaching Practice, show host Jeff Copper, attention coach, meets with Dr. Ned Hallowell, considered to be one of the world’s foremost ADHD experts, for a candid interview around what is going on in the ADHD community. Diagnosis and treatment, ADHD advocacy, and ADHD help are all open for discussion. Dr. Hallowell is a dynamic and insightful speaker who offers innovative advice on surviving in an ADHD world.
Dr. Ned Hallowell is a child and adult psychiatrist and the founder of The Hallowell Center for Cognitive and Emotional Health in Sudbury, Massachusetts, and New York City. After more than twenty years as a faculty member of Harvard Medical School, he then devoted his time to a professional clinical practice that also included lecturing and writing books. As a co-author with Dr. John Ratey, his books include "Driven to Distraction" and "Answers to Distraction," both of which have sold more than a million copies. Their third book, "Delivered from Distraction," provides updated information on the treatment of ADHD and more on adult ADHD.
In his most recent book, "SHINE: Using Brain Science to Get the Best from Your People," released in January 2011, Dr. Hallowell relies on brain science, performance research, and his own experience to present a proven process for getting the best from your people. He introduces five critical steps that a manager or worker can do to propel their people to excellence.
Dr. Hallowell’s book, "Married to Distraction: Restoring Intimacy and Strengthening Your Marriage in an Age of Interruption," released in 2010, is a team effort with his wife, Sue George Hallowell, a couples’ therapist, to explain the subtle but dangerous effect today’s overstretched, under-nurtured lifestyle has on our most intimate relationship. Together, they offer straightforward and effective ways to keep one’s marriage away from destructive roadblocks created by busy living. He has also appeared in an interview on The Dr. Oz Show on “The Medical Condition You Didn’t Know was Ruining Your Marriage.”
Along with Dr. Peter Jensen, Dr. Hallowell is co-author of "SUPERPARENTING FOR ADD: An Innovative Approach to Raising Your Distracted Child." The book offers insight from decades of experience working with ADD children.
