New EpiPlus - Histone Modification Antibodies Announced Today

Littleton, CO, October 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Novus Biologicals announced today the release of a new group of Epi-PlusTM antibodies for histone modification testing. Over the past several months, Novus has collaborated with 21st Century Biochemicals, a leading manufacturer of custom antibodies and peptides, to generate the most well validated antibodies for modified histones and other epigenetic targets.

Histone modifications are part of a complicated system of checks and balances at the epigenetic level and several histone modifications have been definitively shown to affect the regulation of transcription in a variety of cellular processes.

The laboratory teams at both Novus and 21st Century Biochemicals have performed extensive validation work in multiple assay types, including chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), Western Blot, dot blots using modified peptide arrays, and immunocytochemistry (ICC).
