Women in Technology International, San Diego Hosts Timely Workshop at Hera Hub
An important alliance with San Diego’s only coworking space for women.
San Diego, CA, October 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Women in Technology International’s (WITI) San Diego chapter has formed a strategic alliance with Hera Hub, a coworking space for female entrepreneurs.
Hera Hub provides work, meeting, and event space to women in a variety of industries, including technology. Carey Harrington Adolfsson, Director of the WITI San Diego chapter, states, “Hera Hub gives me the distinct honor of being in constant proximity to great women and resources. On Wednesday, October 26th WITI is hosting a special event featuring Margaret Heffernan, former CEO, and author of the new book “Willful Blindness.” Heffernan will be leading a discussion about the consequences of denial and how ignoring facts has lead to the housing bubble burst, the great recession, and large scale ponzi scheme ignorance. Included in the discussion will be methods to combat denial and arguments for engagement rather than deflection.
The event will take place at Hera Hub (9710 Scranton Road #160, Sorrento Valley) on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Attendance is open to both men and women and registration is available online at: www.witi.com/sandiego.
