Glasgow Property Professional Recognised for Training Excellence

Laura McCluskey of Grove Property has passed the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP) Technical Award and secured a nationally-recognised industry qualification.

Glasgow, United Kingdom, October 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A Glasgow based lettings agent has secured a nationally-recognised industry qualification and has joined the growing number of qualified agents across the UK to do so.

Laura McCluskey of Grove Property has passed the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP) Technical Award in Scottish Residential Letting and Property Management, the industry standard for all agents working in this area. It is the required qualification for entry to the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), the only professional, self-regulating body specialising in the private rented sector and representing more than 5,000 lettings offices across the UK.

Laura who started her career as a biomedical scientist, has been working as a letting agent in the Glasgow area after turning business woman and founding the agency Grove Property.

After beginning study in her spare time Laura managed to pass all 4 exams necessary for the awards in just 3 months whilst establishing Grove Property, showing great determination to achieve her qualification.

She said: “I decided to start my studies as a result of moving into the lettings industry and I am thrilled to have secured the Technical Award.

“For me, it is evidence of our professionalism and shows our clients that they are dealing with someone who is knowledgeable and that they can trust to do a good job.”

ARLA operates alongside three of the property sector's other leading professional bodies: the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA), and the Institution of Commercial and Business Agents (ICBA).

The NFOPP Awarding body is regulated by the government's Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) and offers nationally recognised qualifications across all the disciplines in the property sector.

The NFOPP Technical Award in Scottish Residential Letting and Property Management Scotland is a Level 3 qualification within the National Qualifications Framework and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework. The examinations for the qualification cover:
