eLogHomes Showcases Smart, Green, Sustainable Log Home in Eastern North Carolina on Saturday, Oct 15. Great Photo Opportunities, Interviews and Community News.
Castalia, NC, October 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- eLogHomes, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of log home packages and materials based in North Carolina, will be in eastern North Carolina this Saturday, Oct 15 for a film shoot promoting their Build America program. The shoot will showcase a highly unique, sustainable, "off-the-grid" log home, complete with observatory, solar panel array, and water cistern, owned by retired naval officer Carther Jorgensen in Castalia, NC.
Photography and videography will be allowed as well as tours and interviews of this unique home.
In addition to Jorgensen, Craig Lloyd, State Executive Director of Victim Services of MADD NC will be on hand to publicly give their endorsement for eLogHomes Build America program. Build America is a special discount program available to employees and members of organizations that serve America.
The Build America program offers a 5% across the board discount on the purchase of any log home and a 1% donation back to the home buyer’s membership organization. Examples of other member groups that qualify for the program are ROTC and Boy Scouts of America, members of which will be part of the film shoot on Saturday. Additionally, nationwide, there are more than 21 million living military veterans who also may quality for Build America.
“We want to make it easier and more affordable for organizations that service America, such as our nation’s military, fire, police, first responders, teachers and civil servants, to be able to own a piece of the American dream,” said Michael Wild, the company’s information officer.
“We, at MADD, are happy to be partnering with eLogHomes’ Build America program. It is a win-win situation for non-profits such as ours, to receive contributions from eLogHomes in order to provide more free programs and services... and to make our roadways safer for everyone,” said Lloyd.
Jorgessen, Lloyd and Wild are all available for on-site interviews about the Build America program and the uniqueness of the home in Castalia during the filming schedule.
To complement the Build America program, all of eLogHomes are made in America products from timber sourced from the eastern U.S. “Log homes are an excellent example of an energy efficient home that makes use of natural, renewable resources to support a healthy home environment,” continued Wild.
