Fozmula’s Versatile Digital Indicator – a Display for All Seasons
UK based sensor specialists, Fozmula Ltd, has extended its already impressive line-up of liquid level indicators with a new Model - the L130 series remote weatherproof digital indicator. This development enhances the Company’s array of continuous level displays which now offers engineers and buyers with a good selection of products for their applications.
Leamington Spa, United Kingdom, October 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Fozmula has been asked on a number of occasions to provide a highly legible indicator of tank contents that could be positioned in a non-IS or non-hazardous location, such as a canopied gen-set of bulk fuel storage tank. The marketplace seemed devoid of such an instrument so following extensive market research, a design proposal was suggested which has resulted in the L130 indicator.
In several other products Fozmula has utilised a moulded IP67 terminal box which seemed a perfect housing in which to mount the display and its associated connectivity. Fozmula’s electronic engineers worked closely with a microcontroller manufacturer to produce a custom designed chip which could process a number of voltage and signal inputs.
Typically, modern level sensors output either a voltage or a milliamp signal which can be processed either by a SCADA system or a simple display as in the case of the L130. Accepting either 0 – 5V or 4 – 20mA inputs the indicator’s LED displays are user programmable and 15mm tall giving good legibility for some distance.
Although the L130 is designed to be used with Fozmula’s own wide range of liquid level sensors and senders, such as the T/LL130, T/LL140, T/LL171 or T/LL200 series, it is equally at home when receiving input signals from other manufacturers’ compatible instruments.
