DirectBuy of Silicon Valley Helps Habitat for Humanity East Bay
Local members-only buying club donates more than $7,000 in building supplies to help build homes in the East Bay community.
Mountain View, CA, October 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- DirectBuy of Silicon Valley, the home improvement and furnishings club with confidential dealer prices, is always working to help their members transform their house into a home, but recently they had an even greater opportunity to help Habitat for Humanity make the dream of home ownership a reality for families in their community.
Located in Mountain View, the Silicon Valley club and owners Mark Magnani and Paul Valentino were able to fulfill their goal by donating merchandise to Habitat. "Our team here at DirectBuy of Silicon Valley believes giving back to the community is everyone's responsibility,” said Mia Chung, a Sales Director at DirectBuy of Silicon Valley. “Helping families is part of the culture here at DirectBuy, and we feel privileged to be in a position to do just that through our donation to Habitat for Humanity."
Habitat for Humanity East Bay focuses on creating home ownership opportunities through building decent, affordable houses and enhancing neighborhoods through partnerships with homeowners and the community, and the local DirectBuy club was more than happy to help out.
Among the many items donated were sinks, bathroom fixtures, tubs, lighting, window treatments and blinds, fireplaces, sofas, and more. All in all, the DirectBuy of Silicon Valley team was able to contribute more than $7,000 in merchandise to Habitat’s efforts.
"We are always excited to have the opportunity and ability to provide Habitat for Humanity with merchandise and donations whenever and wherever possible," said Mark Magnani, owner for DirectBuy of Silicon Valley. "Being able to help out families in our community, who have contributed to our success here at DirectBuy, is truly fulfilling and enjoyable experience for us. We greatly look forward to many more opportunities to work with Habitat for Humanity East Bay for many years to come."
