Fred. Olsen Cruise Line’s Nigel Lingard Receives First "Cruise Baltic Crown Award" at Seatrade Europe
Nigel Lingard, Fred. Olsen Cruise Line’s Sales and Marketing Director, has been awarded Cruise Baltic’s inaugural "Crown Award," in recognition of his on-going support and promotion of the Baltic Sea region as a cruise destination.
Ipswich, United Kingdom, October 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Presenting the new award scheme at the Seatrade Europe, Cruise Baltic director Bo Larsen said: “Nigel Lingard is the first recipient of our Crown Award. The ultimate cruise industry professional, Nigel has been a key and loyal supporter of our network in his role at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines; his advice and experience have contributed greatly to the development of our region. The Baltic itineraries operated by Fred. Olsen are renowned and prove tremendously popular with cruise guests, visiting so many of the traditional and more unusual ports around the Baltic Sea.”
Commenting on his win, Nigel Lingard said: "I’m flattered to be presented with this award. I first fell in love with the Baltic region when I worked with Silja Line back in the '70s. The opportunity to help to develop the cruise business has been a real joy, and I have worked with some 30 ports in the Baltic over the years. What they all have in common is that they deliver customer satisfaction, and that's what will ensure their continued success."
The Cruise Baltic Crown Award success is the latest in a number of industry accolades presented to Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. Last week the company won "Most Group-Friendly Cruise Line" at the "Group Leisure Awards"; and earlier this month it scooped a hat trick of wins at the first ever "Cruise International Awards" – topping three categories including: "Cruise Line of the Year", "Best Educational Cruise" for its Vistas onboard enrichment programme, and "Best Live Performance" for the Classical duo, The OperaBabes.
