Jefferson Parish Democratic Executive Committee (JPDEC) Announces Endorsement of Louella Givens for BESE District 2

Metairie, LA, October 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Jefferson Parish Democratic Executive Committee (JPDEC) proudly announces its endorsement of Louella Givens for BESE District 2.

Ms. Givens has admirably served the parents, students and constituents of both BESE District 2 plus the State of Louisiana during her time on the BESE Board and deserves another term. She is a BESE member with an understanding of what real reform is about and a true advocate for all the children of the State of Louisiana.

Ms. Givens wants to protect local districts from the state takeover. Local control means more options, better education and lower costs for all parents.

The election is Saturday, October 22nd.
