The final MIBU conference for 2011 was held on October 12 in Boston, providing entrepreneurial education and inspiration for moms and women business owners. One of the highlights of the day was presenting the Best New Product of the Year award, which went to Parachute Dog, a waste kit for dogs created by Patricia Nolan-Brown.

Boston, MA, October 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Moms in Business Unite, offering a unique educational conference to enhance the professional and personal lives of women and mom business owners, announced today that its first Boston conference was a success, as nearly 50 women gathered at Cummings Center in Beverly on October 12 to learn and be inspired. The most common comment heard throughout the day was “we want more,” as the incredible panel of high quality speakers shared their expertise and generated tremendous energy and focus.

One of the highlights of the event was announcing the winner of the Best New Product of the Year, Parachute Dog, a waste kit for dogs created by Patricia Nolan-Brown. Five women-owned businesses participated in the Boston Inventor Showcase, getting a chance to showcase their new products to attendees who voted on which one they thought was “best.”

The afternoon event also included an inspiring keynote presentation from Maria Bailey of BSM Media, the foremost authority on marketing to moms; an education-packed panel discussion featuring six subject matter experts and intimate breakout circles with those experts. It was presented in concert with Mass Innovation Nights to kick off Boston Regional Entrepreneurship Weeks (BREW), a series of events showcasing the incredible entrepreneurial spirit in and around Boston.

“We’re happy at how our first Boston conference went, as we received fabulous feedback from attendees, sponsors and speakers,” said Liz Dang, Director of the MIBU Boston Conference. “We’re glad the mom and women business owners who attended gained knowledge that inspired them and will enhance their ability to be successful.”

The Boston conference concludes a very successful series across the country that reached hundreds of women and mom business owners.
