Ignition Features New Major Updates: Stunning Graphical Capabilities & Exceptionally Fast Performance
The latest version of Ignition by Inductive Automation now performs faster and features powerful tools for graphical visualization for HMI / SCADA projects. The fully-functional demo of Ignition v7.3 is available for download at http://www.inductiveautomation.com/downloads.
Sacramento, CA, October 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- As a testimony to Ignition’s wide appeal to the industrial manufacturing industry, Inductive Automation has been recognized as a leader in innovation by Oracle. On Oct. 2, Oracle awarded Ignition by Inductive Automation the Duke’s Choice Award for “Innovative Industrial Software”. Each year, Oracle bestows the award on the most innovative products that utilize Java.
The award-winning new release offers many major improvements that span all parts of the system. Some of the major highlights include:
2D Vector Drawing Tools
Get all the ease and precision of drawing offered by industry-standard vector programs, now within Ignition. Users do not have to use third-party drawing software to create custom graphics – everything can be done right in Ignition.
Import Images Directly from Symbol Factory
Users can instantly import any image from Symbol Factory and SVG files, and then directly modify the graphic’s color and shape within Ignition using the 2D vector drawing toolset.
View Historical Data Faster
Efficiency has been improved so large-scale SCADA projects run better and faster than ever before. Users with high tag-count systems can pull up historical data for long time spans up to 70% faster, thanks to better compression and pre-processing.
Bigger Systems with Less Memory
Ignition’s tag and OPC-UA based driver system has been made much more memory-efficient. Using less memory allows system designers to create larger Ignition-based SCADA applications without expanding hardware requirements.
Ignition is a software platform with a variety of HMI / SCADA and manufacturing execution systems (MES) modules that can be mixed and matched depending on the needs of industrial automation companies. The system is very flexible in creating custom HMI, SCADA and MES applications in industries such as food, beverage, oil, gas, packaging, pharmaceutical, and water / waste water.
