GTCbio Announces 2007 Fellowship Awards and Charitable Donation
GTCbio announces fellowship winners who receive monetary award to help in the advancement of scientific research. GTCbio also makes a donation to the Doctors around the World Charity.
Monrovia, CA, April 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Today GTCbio announced the 2007 recipients of its annual fellowship awards program. Each year GTCbio honors researchers working in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry an award to help in the advancement of science and technology.
This year’s fellows include Professor Ron R. Grunstein, Head of Sleep and the Circadian Group at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research in Camperdown, Australia, and Mr. Mehmet Ceyhan, Member of the Vaccine Opinion Leader Committee at the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey.
Professor Grunstein was presented with the Golden fellowship, receiving $3000. His work includes research on obesity, metabolic syndrome, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Mr. Ceyhan was presented with the Silver fellowship, receiving $2000. He is currently a member of the faculty at the Hacettepe University working on new research in vaccine developments.
GTCbio will also donate $1,000 to Doctors around the world, a charitable organization dedicated to working in regions where health is diminished or endangered.
GTCbio extends its sincerest congratulations to this year’s fellowship winners and wishes them luck and success in their endeavors.
