Jim Gellatly, Renowned DJ Plays Nemo Shaw's "Contemporary-Retro" Music on National "Amazing Radio"

London, United Kingdom, October 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Jim Gellatly has a knack for discovering new talent. He assisted bands like Oasis, Snow Patrol and Coldplay to break through into the mainstream. On Sunday 16th October, Jim Gellatly played one of Nemo Shaw's new songs entitled "Beautiful Moment" (listen: http://www.soundcloud.com/nemoshaw/nemo_shaw-beautiful_m) giving more exposure to this emerging Scots-Born artist and his new genre of music, "Contemporary-Retro." Nemo's music has also recently been featured on the "NME" website - 'NMETV'.

"Revibe"(new Indie label), came up with the term "Contemporary-Retro" to describe Nemo's music and explains on its website:

"'Contemporary-Retro' is a new genre which focuses on the timeless musical art-form of instrument and voice. This music stands in contrast to the highly commercialized productions which appear to have dominated the music scene in recent years. It links back to times (e.g. 60s and early 70s) when individual creative artists could express themselves freely through their music without 3rd party constraints (hence 'Retro').

"'Contemporary-Retro' de-constructs and re-constructs music in a new way, using the philosophy of 'less is more.' The music of Nemo Shaw demonstrates this. It is without the layers of production so prevalent in today's music.
