Shawn Camp & Friends to be Featured on Mark Newton’s Oct. 25th Lyrics for Lyric Benefit Show

Nashville, TN, October 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Mark Newton’s Lyrics for Lyric Benefit Show is proud to announce having prolific vocal stylist and hit songwriter, Shawn Camp and friends as featured artists on Tuesday October 25th Lyrics for Lyric Benefit Show at Roosters TX Style BBQ & Steakhouse.

The October 25th Lyrics for Lyric Benefit Show will be the eleventh installment of the monthly benefit concert series at Roosters TX Style BBQ & Steakhouse, located at 123 12th Avenue North, Nashville, 37203, hosted by Mark Newton, IBMA Award winning Stylist/ Musician and one of today's most respected interpreters of bluegrass music. Each show is jam packed with Nashville's best established talent in the Country, Bluegrass, Americana and Roots genres to benefit the Lyric Frizzell Foundation, Inc. named after two year old Lyric Alana Frizzell whom was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of Leukemia at 10 months old. The Lyric Frizzell Foundation proudly raises money for childhood cancer research.

Some careers can be described with a couple of words, but Shawn Camp’s isn’t one of them. A bold and distinctive singer, a songwriter whom has had his songs recorded by artists ranging from Garth Brooks and Brooks & Dunn to Ralph Stanley, Del McCoury and Ricky Skaggs. Camp is also an accomplished multi-instrumentalist whom has played with everyone from Alan Jackson to the Osborne Brothers, his music sprawls across the lines that divide mainstream country, Americana and bluegrass.

Also appearing on the Tuesday October 25th show will be America’s Got Talent finalist, Drew Stevyns, Billy Droze, Shawn Camp & Friends featuring Michael Bub, Chris Henry, Guthrie Trapp, Larry Atamanuik and the “Hits & Grins” of Bill Whyte, Lisa Shaffer & Steve Dean.

Past shows have featured such stars as Blackhawk, Jim Lauderdale, Vince Gill, Jamie Johnson, Marty Raybon, Bo Bice, Ken Mellons, Chris Caskey, Carl Jackson, Trent Tomlinson, Claire Lynch, Cia Cheryholmes, Missy Raines, Larry Cordle, Jerry Salley, Michael Peterson, Whitney Duncan and Billy Yates.
