Minnesota Sinfonia to Perform in St. Cloud with Soprano Soloist Evelyn Nelson

St. Cloud, MN, November 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Minnesota Sinfonia is proud to announce it's first ever concert to be held in Saint Cloud. The concert will be a Sinfonia Holiday Family Pops Concert and will feature Evelyn Nelson, soprano soloist native to Saint Cloud, performing a variety of light favorites in works by Mozart, Gonoud, Puccini, and Strauss. The concert will be held in conjunction with the Paramount Theater with funds from the Legacy Amendment.

Also on the program is a winning composition "Chicago!" by Max Shin, one of the Minnesota Sinfonia's 2011 Junior Composers competition winners.


The concert will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, December 4 at Saint Mary's Cathedral at 25 8th Ave S., in Saint Cloud. Admission is free and children are always welcome to attend. Audience members should arrive early as all concerts are first-come, first-seated.

Minnesotan native soprano Evelyn Nelson is a versatile and creative performer whose experience and abilities span Bach to Broadway. She has sung several leading operatic roles, most recently making her debut at Indiana University Opera Theater as Adele in Johann Strauss’ "Die Fledermaus."
