Sevenhouse Press Presents Abraham Markem and the Amazing White Dog, by Gary D. Henry
A compelling tale of victory, loss, redemption - and the immutable bonds of true friendship.
Durham, NC, October 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- SevenHouse Press is proud to announce the official publication of Abraham Markem and the Amazing White Dog, the compelling new tale of victory, loss, and redemption by Gary D. Henry.
About The Book
Abraham Markem grew up quickly in southern Montana and entered the Army when America needed him most. After having won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his extreme gallantry on the battlefields of Korea, Abraham returned home a hero and spent many happy years as a father, husband, and well-respected member of his community.
Years passed, and war again broke out. Abe’s sons enlisted in the Army to aid in America’s cause within the jungles of Vietnam, but when both died, the sorrow over the loss of his sons sent Abe to a place where he had never before been. A few years later, his loving wife - who was also his best friend - died when a pack of wolves cornered her at a vacant house where Abe had grown up, which sent him further into depths that few see.
Then a miracle happened.
A raccoon trap that Abe had set captured a small puppy that soon proved to be no ordinary dog, one that gave him a reason to live. Authorities believed the dog to be a wolf and German Shepherd mix or possibly to be a new species because it had gifts that no other dog had and stunned people in the nearby small town as well as in the academic realm, but Abe just saw it as a white dog with unworldly piercing blue eyes that saved his life the fateful day that he wanted to end it.
He named it White Dog. Their relationship grew strong, and White Dog became the devoted friend that Abe so desperately needed. Follow White Dog and Abe on their many adventures in the untamed wildernesses of Montana, where Abe finds out much more about his amazing friend that would astound and shock all that came in contact with him.

About The Author
Gary D. Henry spent twenty-three years in the environmental field and another fifteen years as a government contractor. That is where he found the desire to write. As a technical writer for many of these years, he has written countless reports regarding testing procedures and testing results presented to government agencies.
Recently, he desires to write stories. This came from a short story written about Alzheimer’s disease, which claimed the life of his father Ray Henry in early 2009. The short story was given to Leeza Gibbons at her request for her to use with a visual piece she was planning. He has now seven published books The Westward Journey of the Nebraskan Wind, The Castle Dark of Upstate, A Life Measured by the Minute, The Books of James C. Patch: The Barrier, The Books of James C.
