Mouth Receives Meskin Journalism Award for Excellent in Dental Student Publications
Chicago, IL, October 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The American Association of Dental Editors has selected Mouth, the Journal of the American Student Dental Association, as the recipient of the 2011 Meskin Journalism Award for Excellence in Dental Student Publications. The honor is presented annually to one United States or Canadian dental student publication in recognition of overall excellence in publishing, including editorial content and design.
Mouth, formerly titled Dentistry, was launched by the American Student Dental Association in the 1970s. It is published quarterly and features dental student-written articles.
“The Meskin Award recognizes the hard work that ASDA’s editorial board, along with our 45+ contributing student authors, have put in over the past year,” said Colleen Greene, Harvard ’13, Editor-in-Chief, who accepted the award in person at the ADA Annual Session in Las Vegas. “By focusing on one relevant theme each issue, we are able to deeply explore an aspect of the dental profession. Including student authors from around the country enables us to feature the most current and diverse topics of interest to dental students.”
ASDA will continue to bring innovative ideas, important dental-related issues and student stories to light through its publications.
