Las Vegas, NV, October 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Put on your dancing shoes and step out at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, for the sensational and heart-warming production of “Love 2 Dance” at The Showroom at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. The show is back by popular demand for its fourth and final performance of 2011. Regular ticket prices start at $25. A limited number of premium tickets are available for $50, which includes a personally autographed photo. In addition, groups of 20 or more will receive a 25 percent discount.
“Love 2 Dance,” the creation of husband and wife, song and dance team Michael Kessler and Melinda Jackson, better known as M&M, features a cast of professional dancers that take the audience on an intimate journey through their most cherished memories highlighting their passions, struggles and triumphs, all told through song, dance & spoken word.
“Whether you’re partial to modern or ballroom dance or have two left feet, everyone can enjoy this funny and touching production that details an original look inside the lives of dancers,” said Kessler.
“Love 2 Dance” features 15 top dancers and choreographers from prominent shows on the Las Vegas Strip including “The Lion King,” “Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular”, “Jubilee”, “O”, “Vegas! The Show”, and other famous notables such as “Radio City Music Hall” and “Lido de Paris”.
According to M&M, the show was crafted from on camera interviews with the dancers about their personal achievements, challenges and sacrifices they endured to become dancers. Segments from the interviews are showcased on a big screen followed by musical vignettes that tell the dancers’ personal stories and feature a variety of dance styles.
“Many of the dancers have explored the world of dance through different styles, while having to overcome life’s obstacles,” dancer Kellie Pryor said. “The show is a combination of dance, comedy, tragedy and how dancers persevere.”
But you don’t just have to be a dancer to appreciate this show.
The production is a personal one for Jackson and Kessler, who not only wrote, produced, directed and choreographed it, but star in it as well. One vignette shows how Jackson and Kessler first met in ballet class in New York City and how their dancing led to friendship, love and their partnership. It was in 1987, after their first show together in New York City, they formed M&M American Dance Theatre and began their first world tour.
Their careers have included producing, writing, directing, choreographing and performing internationally with their company. The pair has also worked with other shows, including choreographing and directing the hit musical “Hair” for its 30th anniversary international tour, starring together in “The Great Radio City Musical Hall Spectacular” and performing in Tommy Tune’s “Grand Hotel.”
