Brick Cave Media CEO Bob Nelson to Speak at Independentfans.org Press Event
Independent Fans of Arizona is hosting a media event to promote a diverse range of local arts and media organizations from Tucson and Phoenix. Brick Cave Media CEO Bob Nelson is scheduled to speak.
Mesa, AZ, October 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Brick Cave Media CEO Bob Nelson will be a featured speaker for an event sponsored by a brand new non-profit organization called the Independent Fans of Arizona. As the name would suggest, the organization is comprised of fans of independent arts, media and entertainment and have formed this organization in order to help promote and encourage further developments in the local independent communities.
Members of the press are cordially invited to attend Bob Nelson's talk to lay out the foundation of Brick Cave Media, it's beliefs, products and strategic direction. He will also discuss the state of media in the transition to a digital marketplace, and how Brick Cave Media differentiates itself from existing media companies.

The 10am session focuses on local arts organizations, featuring presentations by:
Anthology, inc.
Black Poet Ventures
Desert Rose Theater
The purpose of these presentations will be to make information about each of these organizations available with the purpose of dispelling that information to Arizona communities. They will present their missions, plans and information regarding their organizations.
A small lunch will be made available, sponsored by Queens Pizza, or Mesa, AZ. However, there are numerous dining establishments in downtown Mesa should you require other fare.
A second presentation will begin at 1pm and will feature local media organizations, and include presentations by:
Squishy Studios
Mantecoza
Brick Cave Media
The Domino Theatre, Inc.

Currently, Bob is the chief of Brick Cave Media, a media microglomerate for the crazy ideas that his friends and I dream up. In 2006, He released a second spoken word CD, Boboratory, that is available through the Brick Cave Media Store as either a physical CD or downloadable MP3's. He serves on the Board of Anthology, Inc., and still wanders around the local poetry scene.
In 1994, Bob co-founded Anthology magazine with writer J.A. Giunta. The magazine would run for ten years and print a wide variety of up and coming poets and writers. Also in 1994, Bob (also me) started the Essenzaslam Poetry Slam, which runs to this day as the longest running poetry slam in the Southwest. In 1999, Bob founded Spokenworld.com, a pioneer internet readio station focusing on spoken word programming. In 2001, writer Sharon Skinner and Bob founded Anthology as a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
