Albuquerque, NM, October 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Schafer Corporation, a scientific and engineering company, has teamed with UP Aerospace of Denver, CO to provide comprehensive launch and payload integration services for up to eight NASA launches during 2012 and 2013. UP and Schafer have teamed on previous launches out of Spaceport America and this is a continuation of that excellent working relationship.
UP Aerospace was awarded two separate contracts involving up to eight launches through the NASA Office of Chief Technologist Launch Opportunities Program. Schafer’s role is to ensure that the payloads are tested and properly integrated in to the SpaceLoft vehicle. “This is not new to us, we’ve provided this support to UP on previous launches and we are excited about the opportunity to continue working with this innovative and dynamic company,” said Schafer Corporation President Tony Frederickson.
“We love working with Schafer Corporation, they understand our commercial approach to operations and provide a laser focus on getting the job done with maximum efficiency,” said UP Aerospace President Jerry Larson. Schafer Corporation has previously both built and integrated payloads for other customers on UP’s SpaceLoft rocket launched from Spaceport America.
