Business Leader Media Director to Speak at Prestigious Milken Institute
Raleigh, NC, April 21, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Eran Salu, managing director and majority owner of Raleigh-based magazine publisher Business Leader Media, will participate in a panel discussion as part of the Milken Institute’s 10th annual Global Conference 2007, held April 23-25 in Los Angeles.
The panel, “Smaller Businesses in a Flat World,” will focus on the idea that smaller businesses are more nimble and vulnerable than larger companies. In a world that has been “flattened” by globalization and technology, panel members will discuss the advantages smaller businesses have, as well as the dangers they face and the opportunities they present for investors, innovators, and the local economies in which they operate.
The panel is scheduled for 2:15-3:25 p.m. April 25. Additional panel members include Loida Lewis, chairman and CEO of TLC Beatrice LLC; David Kim, CEO of Baja Fresh; Matthew McGovern, managing director of SBI Group; and Graham Clempson, European managing partner of MidOcean Partners UK. The panel moderator will be Rafael Pastor, chairman of the board and CEO of Vistage International, a membership organization comprised of more than 13,000 member CEOs and executives in 15 countries.
“The mission of Business Leader Media is to help business executives and business owners better understand the environment in which they operate,” Salu says. “This panel will focus on the threats and opportunities that small businesses face due to internationalization. I look forward to participating on the panel and sharing the experience and lessons learned with our many readers.”
Salu, a former venture capital investor and investment banker at a boutique firm in Los Angeles, has extensive international experience, including his current ownership of Zeal Works, Pvt., a business process outsourcing provider in India.
